The trucks will be exhibited all day Saturday and Sunday and perform two parades around the Bugatti circuit over the weekend. These true works of art will be split into several categories:
- Trucks with artistic liveries with a variety of themes
- Tuned trucks
- Colourful or tuned straight trucks
- Decorated tractor unit and trailer combinations
- American trucks
- Classic trucks
THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL TRUCK
The star of the show among the masterpieces on display at Le Mans will undoubtedly be the flamboyant tractor/trailer of Finn Mika Auvinen. The stunning bright purple livery is combined with white-walled tyres and gleaming chromium body parts. This Mercedes truck has already built quite a reputation, picking up many prizes around the world including the Nordic Trophy.
CITY CENTRE DISPLAY AND AUTOGRAPH SESSION
An autograph session with the French Truck Racing Championship drivers will be held at Place des Jacobins, in Le Mans City Centre, on Thursday 5 November. Several racing trucks will also be on display, offering a taster of the weekend’s entertainment! (Times to be announced).
The official presentation of the Le Mans 24H Camions will take place at midday on Saturday 7 November. The 50+ trucks entered in the domestic and European championships will line up along the straight with all the teams. The track commentators will introduce all the drivers to the crowd before the French national anthem is played.
An extensive exhibition presenting every truck environment will be open to the general public. Visitors can admire an impressive array of fire tenders, public works vehicles, military vehicles, trial trucks, tankers, logging trucks and more besides.
The Jobs & Training forum, set up by FranceRoutes last year, will be bigger and better this time round with over 40 haulage companies, plus training organisations, job agencies and technical colleges specialising in the sector. It is aimed at truck drivers, HGV mechanics and job seekers interested in transport. Visitors can drop off their CV and have a chat with the exhibitors throughout the weekend.
