Support races

THE SUPPORT RACES

It goes without saying that all the main players in the endurance world will be doing battle on the Bugatti circuit. Yet there will be something for everyone on the programme as three support races will also be run. They are the European Bridgestone Handy Race and the Proclassic.

FIM Sidecar World Championship

FIM Sidecar World Championship

Returning to the Bugatti circuit after an appearance at the 2022 24H Motos, the FIM Sidecar World Championship will kick off the season in April. This spectacular discipline is a fan favourite, particularly thanks to the efforts of the “monkeys” or co-drivers. Subsequent to one free practice and two qualifying sessions, the drivers will compete in two races on Friday and Saturday the week of the event.

PMR Bridgestone Cup

PMR Bridgestone Cup

The Handi Free Riders Association, founded by Stéphane Paulus and Kevin Simonato, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The French PMR Bridgestone Cup will return to the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans on 18-21 April, with the 47th 24H Motos serving as the stage for the opening race of four on the 2024 calendar. Approximately 30 riders, including as many as 10 Italians, will face off in the 600 and 1000 cmᶟ categories.

Competitors in this championship are paraplegic, have lower or upper limb amputations or no longer have mobility in one of their two arms. The machines are adapted to the respective disabilities. For example, motos modified for paraplegic riders are equipped with a custom gearshift system and rear hand brake. The programme will consist of one free practice, one qualifying session and two races on Friday and Saturday.

Klass GP

Klass GP

This year, Klass GP has been added to the 24H Motos programme for the first time ever. This championship, created for enthusiasts of the Grand Prix of the 2000s, gives riders and spectators the opportunity to enjoy the heyday of two-stroke engines (125cc GP and 250cc GP). Comprised of four rounds, the championship season will get underway at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans cheered on by tens of thousands of spectators. The programme includes two free practices, two qualifying sessions and two races.
