WEC – Timo Bernhard's tribute to Stefan Bellof (video)

Timo Bernhard, winner of the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans and official Porsche driver, donned a very special item during the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Indeed, he wore on his helmet the colours of Stefan Bellof, the German driver who passed away at the Belgian circuit 30 years ago.

In this video, watch Timo Bernhard's explanation behind his decision. The weekend was very good to him since after scoring pole position, he finished third in the race along with Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley in the No. 17 Porsche 919 Hybrid.

Now, the entire Porsche Team is looking to the 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans where Bernhard will return with his regularly-decorated helmet.

Take a look at our article about to Stefan Bellof.
