The Strakka DOME S103 continues its development.

The British team refines preparations a few days prior to the Test Day of the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans. Highly anticipated, the Strakka-Dome S103 will make its first official appearance up against its LM P2 class opponents.

In the wake of driving recently in rainy conditions at Silverstone, next week the Strakka Racing team will continue its LM P2 prototype development efforts at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit for three days of tests.

Karl Patman, Strakka Racing Team Manager: “We continue to follow our scheduled test plan and next week our aim is to get all drivers valuable seat time. Although track conditions were quite extreme, in a lot of respects, it’s a great proving ground for what Le Mans sometimes has to offer and the car performed very well."

The outfit based out of Towcester is also working on its own simultor and has accumulated more than 16,000 kilometers to date. “Every week, we receive new information from DOME and correlating this to the growing volume of data acquired on track, we now have an increasingly accurate model to accelerate development and driver acclimatisation,” added Patman.

With the Ligier JS P2, this Strakka-Dome S103 will be one of the attractions in the LM P2 class this year in La Sarthe. A car which has not, for the moment, yet made its official debut. At Test Day, drivers Nick Leventis, Jonny Kane and Danny Watts will be hoping to reap the fruit of their many months of work behind the scenes. We shall find out on June 1st.
