Nick Heidfeld in the Lola Toyota set the fastest time in free practice. It augers well for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The third free practice session had a surprise for us; against all odds, it was the Lola of Nick Heidfeld that led the favourites. On a drying track, the German in his final lap set a time of 1'47 "993 under the chequered flag. Of course, this does not undermine the dominance of cars likely to Audi and Toyota works cars, but it shows, however, that the Rebellion Racing team is ready to take every opportunity to invite the forefront.
The session was also marked by the track exit of the Toyota No.8 driven by Stéphane Sarrazin. Immobilized for several minutes at Club. The car finally returned to the pits under its own power, scattering gravel in its wake. Another track exit, this time Christian Ried in a Porsche, caused the interruption of the session for a few minutes.
Finally, Morgan set the fastest lap in LM P2 while Aston Martin took the top places in GTE Pro and GTE Am
