FIA WEC 2015 - Mission accomplished for Porsche at the 6 Hours of Fuji (video)

Just over a week ago, Porsche almost swept the board at the 6 Hours of Fuji, and now leads the World Endurance Championship drivers

The German constructor claimed a one-two finish in Japan with victory for the #17 Porsche 919 Hybrid crew (Timo Berhard, Brendon Hartley and Mark Webber) and second place for the #18 car driven by Roman Dumas, Marc Lieb and Neel Jani. The former have taken the top spot in the drivers’ championship and with both crews finishing on the podium, Porsche has widened its gap over Audi in the manufacturers’ championship.

Porsche narrowly missed out on a win in LM GTE too but its plans were thwarted by the defiant #51 Ferrari 458 AF Corse. In the end, the #92 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Patrick Pilet and Frédéric Makowiecki finished second. Over in LM GTE Am, Patrick Dempsey, Marco Seefried and Patrick Long claimed their first win in the #77 Porsche 911 RSR/Dempsey Proton.

Watch this round-up of the race with the Porsche crews who will now be looking ahead to the next round in Shanghai on 1 November!
