The Italy (Monza) in May, the UK (Silverstone) in August, Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps) in September will keep hosting ELMS races. The last race in Portugal (Portimão) still need to be confirmed.

The big change in 2019 will be the introduction of the famous Spanish circuit of Barcelona where the third round of the season will be held from the 19th to 21st of July, instead of the Red Bull Ring.

The British fans will once again enjoy a summer race with the 4 Hours of Silverstone on the 30th and 31st of August alongside the FIA WEC for a weekend festival of the motor sport. After a highly successful 2018 season the Michelin Le Mans Cup will continue to follow the European Le Mans Series all year, with the exception of Silverstone as the series will have its flagship event, the Road to Le Mans as the curtain riser of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2019 European Le Mans Series will continue to build a brand based on consistency while at the same time offering the world’s leading teams and drivers a great platform to showcase their talents to enthusiastic fans from all around the globe.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest: “The European Le Mans Series has always provided the very best in endurance racing with top class teams and drivers competing on some of the world’s premier circuits. You only have to look at the grid sizes over the past few seasons to see how successful the ELMS has become. The fact that ELMS teams and drivers have been highly successful at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is proof positive of the competitiveness of the ELMS grid for both professional and gentlemen drivers alike. We welcome the inclusion of Barcelona in the schedule, a new circuit for the ELMS and a new challenge for the competitors, while building on the success of the events held at the five other venues. The 2019 European Le Mans Series will certainly be a series to watch next season.”

Gerard Neveu, CEO of the European Le Mans Series : “We are very pleased to announce the 2019 calendar for the European Le Mans Series with the inclusion of a brand new circuit, Barcelona, a decision made according to the wishes of our competitors. We are driven by the desire to offer the very best sporting stage for the teams. The ELMS is a friendly championship and we are very happy to share it with our competitors, our partners and our fans. We are working hard to ensure that this new calendar will keep building on that success.”
