ELMS - Dragonspeed all fired up and ready to go

Dragonspeed is all set to race the 12 Hours of Sebring and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS). The team is on the reserve list for the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year and will be fielding an Oreca 05 in the LM P2 class of the ELMS.

Elton Julian’s team has raced the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, in 2005 in LM P1 with Racing for Holland’s Dome (7th overall) and in 2012 in LM P2 with Greaves Motorsport (5th in class).

Nicolas Lapierre, former Toyota factory driver and LM P2 class winner at Le Mans last year, Henrik Hedman, who took part in the Pirelli World Challenge last season and Ben Hanley are the named drivers for the ELMS campaign.

Like Romain Grosjean and Lucas di Grassi, Hanley started out in Renault Series Formula One. The 31-year-old Briton is back from a 5-year break from motorsports and ready to embark on his first season in endurance racing.

Nicolas Minassian will join the team on its home ground for the 12 Hours of Sebring. The former Peugeot works driver is currently competing in the BR01 for SMP Racing in the World Endurance Championship with Hedman and Lapierre.
