United Autosports has confirmed that Paul Di Resta will return to the wheel of the #22 Ligier JS P217-Gibson at the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-16 June 2019). The British driver will also compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the 2019-20 season.
Paul Di Resta (32, one appearance) will team up with Phil Hanson (19, two appearances) and Filipe Albuquerque (33, five appearances) at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June and for the eight rounds of the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. Di Resta recently took the Asian Le Mans Series title with Hanson for the Anglo-American outfit. He made his Le Mans début last year in the same #22 Ligier JS P217-Gibson.
The 2019-20 FIA WEC season will get underway on 1 September 2019 with the 4 Hours of Silverstone (UK). The runners and riders will then head to Japan (6 Hours of Fuji, 6 October 2019), China (4 Hours of Shanghai, 10 November 2019), Bahrain (8 Hours of Bahrain, 14 December 2019), the United States (1000 Miles of Sebring in March 2020), and then Belgium (6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, 2 May 2020). The 88th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will bring the season to a close on 13-14 June 2020.
