Last weekend the first motorbike races of the season were held at Le Mans with the French Superbike Championship, and the two-wheelers will continue to hold pride of place on the Bugatti circuit. The entrants in the 24 Heures Motos are setting up camp in the paddock to take part in the two Pre-Mans test days tomorrow and Wednesday. Forty-six of the 59 entries for the 2015 24 Heures Motos have already confirmed their participation in these non-obligatory practice sessions.

All the main contenders will be present including the works Yamaha (GMT 94 and Monster Energy) Kawasaki (SRC), Suzuki (SERT), Honda (Honda Racing) and BMW (BMW Motorrad France Penz13.com) teams. Other front-runners that inject a lot of excitement into endurance bike racing like the Junior Team Le Mans Sud (Suzuki), Team Bolliger Switzerland (Kawasaki) and the Team Traqueur Louit Moto 33 (Kawaski) will also be present.
In addition, the revolutionary Geco prototype (entered by Slider Endurance) will be the centre of attention on its eagerly-awaited debut in the Open category in which the JLC Moto Metis will also run tomorrow and the following day.

While Renaud Lavillenie will not take part in the 2015 race he should be present on both days with the AZ Moto team renamed LMD (Lavillenie, Mézard, Dumain), the three guys who are the key men in this outfit. The pole vaulter, who was again crowned European indoor champion three weeks ago, will use these sessions to gain experience in view of racing in events on two wheels in the future.
Today, Monday, the team hasn’t yet confirmed its entry for the Pre-Mans, but it can still come and take part in practice at the last moment.

These two days’ tests are not open to the public. They will run (without official timing) from 09h00 till midday and then from 14h00 till 18h00 on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April.
Once the tests are over the Automobile Club de l’Ouest will host the press conference for the 2015 24 Heures Motos on Thursday 2nd April at 11h00 in the headquarters of Goodyear Dunlop Tyres France in Reuil-Malmaison. During the conference the main innovations of the event will be presented in the presence of the major players in the championship, and Eurosport Events, promoter of the FIM World Championship, will announce the list of teams selected to take part in the 2015 contest.

Journalists who wish to attend testing and/or confirm their presence at the press conference on 2nd April must send an e-mail to medias@lemans.org or telephone 33 (0) 2 43 40 21 13.
Access to the circuit is by the north entrance (main entrance beside the 24-Hours museum). Please use the access code, supplied by return on the confirmation of their presence, to enter by the barrier.

After that please present yourself at the reception of the Module Sportif on the pit side and ask for Stéphane Donnet, the chief track marshal. He has been informed of your arrival and will give you the bib to enable you to access the pit lane if required (your must show proof of your professional insurance).
