Driving the Pescarolo LM P1 prototype Oak #24, Olivier Pla was the victim of a violent accident yesterday on the Road Atlanta circuit. The Frenchman, who was unhurt, will take part in the race tomorrow.

"I had a problem with the brake pedal," Olivier Pla said shortly after the accident at the first free practice session. "I lost control of the car and hit the #11 Porsche (William Langhorne, JDX Racing) ... I was just shocked at first, but I'm fine. This is my biggest crash. However, if the prototype can be repaired I'm ready to go tonight! "

And this was the case! A few hours later, the driver from Toulouse turned his mandatory three laps in the night practice session, setting the best time of his car in 1'12 "842. Following the extensive damage caused by the crash, the investigation continues today, particularly in terms of the tub. Problems on the side and at the rear have been identified.
