Intercontinental Le Mans Cup

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the founder of the ILMC, has invested all its creativeness, ingenuity and experience to make this international annual championship a major series on the world motor racing landscape.

Thanks to six events, in addition to the Le Mans 24 Hours, organized on three continents between March and November 2011, endurance motor racing, a branch of the sport that our club has not only created, but also perpetuated and expanded, now has its own global showcase at the very top of the motor sport pyramid.

Thus, not only can all the players in this form of racing that we love do battle on the mythic circuits on the motor sporting planet, but above all, enthusiasts the world over from the United States to China and from Italy to Great Britain, will be able to see the major motor car manufacturers who are determined to prove the quality of their sports and series production vehicles, competing against one another.

And as if this is not enough, our flagship event, the Le Mans 24 Hours on 11th-12th June this year, will add its prestige and international renown to the calendar into which this world-famous race has been integrated.

The three events that made up the ILMC in 2010 were an appetizer, a try that the ILMC and ACO teams have converted in 2011.

All the ingredients are now in place for us to enjoy a thrilling, action-packed first full season. Roll on the first race!
