The 2011 season was successful for Oreca, but the French manufacturer will not stop there. Amendment of the Regulations requires the LM P2 prototype Oreca 03 to be reviewed and no fewer than six teams will defend the colors of the manufacturer, both in European Le Mans Series and WEC, subject to entries being approved.  

The ambitions are clear: to defend the titles acquired Manufacturer Le Mans Series and Teams in ILMC with Signatech Nissan. To do this, the research department of Oreca changed not only the body, including the arrival of the shark fin, but also various mechanical components such as suspension, steering, and exhaust. Big changes, but no revolution, sticking to the spirit of LM P2. The idea of ​​redesigning a new car was quickly abandoned.

The ORECA 03 in its 2012 configuration should take to the track at the end of January.
