Le Moto GP endeuillé

On Sunday the 23rd of October in the penultimate round of the MotoGP World Championship in Malaysia, shortly after start, Marco Simoncelli was the victim of a terrible accident. He lost control of his bike before being hit by Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi who could not avoid him. Marco Simoncelli, aged 24, succumbed to his injuries at 9:56 UK time.

The young Italian rider won the Grand Prix of France 250cc class in 2009. He finished tenth in 2010 in the Moto GP category and fifth in May at Le Mans.
