Presentation of the club
Made up of 80,000 members, the ACO is also the daily commitment of an Association which, for over a century, has been accompanying the development of the motor car and road infrastructures in France, having as its main preoccupations defence and assistance for road users, and the training of drivers in their responsibilities as sensible motorists.
Being a member of the ACO means being a sensible motorist, (or motorbike rider), fully aware of one’s rights and obligations; this does not mean to say that one cannot be at the same time a fan of motor sports (car, motorbike, go-kart), or a racing driver, co-driver or a track marshal.
3 types of membership formulae are available to ACO Club members:
Sérénité 24 (only for French residents), Passion 24 (for fans of the Le Mans race, with English version)or Moto 24, depending on whether they prefer assistance and legal protection as road users, or access to the “24 Heures” in privileged conditions if they are fans of endurance racing , or again, if they are motorcyclists, the pleasure of riding their motorbikes both on the road and on a circuit.
With Sérénité 24, Passion 24 and Moto 24, the ACO respects the affinities of each person, for what makes this Club so magical is the fact that none of its members is unaware of the fact that the organiser of the “24 Heures du Mans” is also the best ally that road users can have.
Being a member of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest is not only to be part of the Le Mans Legend, which dates back to over a century; it is also each day to think of and strive for the harmonious development of the motor car. Reason as much as passion: all the know-how of a century-old club!
