Who will be at the start of the 84th Le Mans 24 Hours? The question will be answered in exactly 24 hours. Tomorrow at 14:30 in Paris the Automobile Club de l'Ouest will reveal the list of the 58 cars selected to take part in the Le Mans 24 Hours on 18th June. This eagerly-awaited press conference can be followed live on video.
Entries for the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours closed on Monday 25th January at midday. The selection committee met in secret on Wednesday 27th January and the results of their discussion will be known in a few hours.
A reminder: thanks to their results in the Le Mans Championships in 2015 and the Le Mans 24 Hours as well as the allocation of the 56th garage, 15 teams have been invited to take part in the Sarthe Classic in June.
They are: Porsche Team, KCMG, Corvette Racing, SMP Racing, Greaves Motorsport, Formula Racing, BMW Team MarcVDS, TDS Racing, Team LNT, Michael Shank Racing, Scuderia Corsa, Race Performance, Clearwater Racing and DC Racing. The 56th garage has been allocated to the Sausset Racing Team 41. However, to validate their invitations all these teams have to enter for a Le Mans-labelled championship in 2016: the Asian Le Mans Series, the European Le Mans Series and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
This list represents the possible entry of 15 cars out of the 58 places available. The names of the other 43 cars on the grid on Saturday 18th June at 15h00 still have to be announced.
During this conference the entries for the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series will also be announced. In addition, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest will unveil the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours poster, the ad for the 84th event and the programme of festivities.

General enclosure tickets: 58.50 euros (ACO members) instead of 78 euros (non ACO members).
Free for young people born after 19th June 2000 accompanied by an adult.
Test Day: Sunday 5th June.
Scrutineering and administrative checks: Sunday 12th and Monday 13th June.
Free and qualifying practice. Wednesday and Thursday 15-16 June.
Start of the 84th Le Mans 24 Hours: Saturday 18th June at 15:00.
