| Just as it started to rain more heavily the #5 Team Oreca Matmut, Courage-Oreca Judd driven by Ayari spun as it arrived on the pit straight. The car was in a rather dangerous position as Ayari tried to get the car started. Eventually he got going again and he will no doubt pit for wet tyres on the next lap like everybody else. The #5 Team Oreca Matmut, Courage-Oreca Judd had just spent some time in the pits with a gearbox problem. The team sorted it all out and the car was back out again losing twelve minutes in the pits.
