"We give thanks to Audi. We needed a challenger. We were the challenger last year, this year we had done everything to be able to win. We'll be back and try to take top honors. At the end of the race we took some chances which could have paid off and bring us the victory. In this respect I have to thank our drivers, first of all Nicolas Minassian for their courage. We have no regrets. Our next goal is to win the Le Mans Series, in which we are currently leader with three victories scored out of three races. The year 2008 in endurance racing is not over for Peugeot Sport."
Nicolas Minassian :
"Congratulations to the team. It is difficult to accept that we came home second. We'll continue to work hard, and this will need an intensive and long debriefing to analyze the areas in which we could have been even better, and to identify and correct the small details in which we didn't quite succeed."
Marc Gené :
"Honestly: If somebody had told me 2 weeks ago that I would finish second in this race, I would have have closed that deal immediately. I have come a long way, and this race has been fantastic, even though we have not won. We will continue in our efforts and we will be back next year to win. During the night we had to pit more often than the Audis because we weren't as easy on the tyres."
Jacques Villeneuve:
"The Audi team has been very impressive and intimidating. We have really been beaten by the drivers. The Audi drivers were very strong."
