As the skies grow increasingly grey over the Le Mans circuit the last few minutes have provided some action:

The No.83 Ferrari has been officially retired.

At 12:33, the No.59 Team Modena Aston Martin DBR9 pitted, surprising the team who were not ready for the car, with a puncture. The car left the pits at 12:36 after a quick pit stop to replace the tyre.

The No.55 Team Oreca Saleen S7R spun at the Playstation chicane, then rejoined and pitted before continuing on apparently unscathed by its off track excursion.

At 12:38, the No.7 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 also entered the pits unexpectedly, catching its team unprepared. After a small commotion, the car was wheeled into the garage where it still remains. All speculation on the issue with the No.7 centers on the engine and its systems. The No.8 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 driven by Sebastien Bourdais has moved up to take the lead from the sister car.

The No.006 A.M.R. Larbre Competition Aston Martin DBR9 which had been in the garage with clutch problems has rolled back out of the garage and left the pit lane.

The Audi crew awaited the arrival of the leading No.1 Audi Sport North America Audi R10 TDI for a driver change from Frank Biela to Marco Werner.
